Churchill Forge is opened to the public on selected dates through the summer.
Given the ongoing pandemic we have very reluctantly taken the decision not to open Churchill Forge during 2021. We hope the re-open in the spring of 2022 and will publish more information early in the New Year. Please check here for further information.
On open days, the forge is open from 2pm to 5pm (last
admission 4:30pm). A small admission charge is made to contribute towards the
restoration and maintenance of the site. A range of souvenirs are available at the forge including technical drawings,
postcards and souvenir coffee mugs and refreshments are available on site at the Water Mill Cafe.
IMPORTANT: Access to the main areas of the forge is by a flight of steep steps and the floors of the working area of uneven. We regret that disabled access is therefore very limited.
Group Visits and Presentations
Groups welcome to visit by arrangement and members of the trust are also happy to give talks to clubs and societies on the history and restoration of the forge. Private tours cost £50 for up to 10 people with further places at an additional £5 a head up to a maximum of 20 people. Discounts are available for schools and educational establishments. For further details please phone Bryony Hayward on 01562 700572 or on 07881 587786 or email her at email@example.com (or via our Facebook page).
